CFAM KID’S ASSEMBLY
January 27, 2024
Nazarene Catholic School
Vicariate of San Jose de Trozo and Our Lady of Loreto
By: Sr. Gemma Dy
Commencing with an earnest invocation led by children from the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Jose de Trozo, Rev Fr. Jesus Madrid set the tone with inspiring opening remarks, emphasizing God's love for His children. Each participant then energetically introduced their respective parishes under the Vicariates of San Jose de Trozo and Our Lady of Loreto, skillfully hosted by catechists Patricia Mendoza and Baby Sublay.
The program's second phase featured a heartfelt Eucharistic celebration led by Rev. Fr. Peterson O. Tieng, LMRS, the supportive vicar forane of the Vicariate of San Jose de Trozo. Fr. Peter's homily urged the children to respond to God's invitation to love not only themselves but also to extend that love to others in their lives.
Mr. Roque Palero, a CFAM coordinator, creatively used the lyrics of "Children of the loving Father" to reinforce the event's theme, linking it with the groupings' five themes: Relationship with God, self, others, environment, and responsible technology use. The breakout session, facilitated by vicariate catechists, deepened the learning through engaging activities, culminating in a remarkable group presentation. Miss Vilma Salonga, CFAM coordinator, introduced the Junior Catechists' Association (JCA) concept while Catechist Imelda Barlaan brilliantly summarized the entire event with the word KRISTO, K-kaibigan R-relasyon I-inspirasyon, S-saya, T-tularan O-ora mismo.

A Marian closing liturgy followed, with participants receiving miraculous medals and sharing prayers. The last part of the program was hosted by Catechists Jomer Vitino and Jasmin de Jesus.

The success of this event owes much to the support of parish priests, dedicated catechists, steering committees, the generosity of sponsors and the support of the different school administrators from the different schools under the 2 vicariates. Special gratitude is extended to Nazarene Catholic School and Fr. Paul Gungon for providing facilities free of charge, Mrs. Eufrocina Velasco for sponsoring lunch, and all those who shared the  advocacy for children. Above all, thanks to the Blessed Virgin Mary and our dear Lord for their continuous inspiration in implementing catechetical programs for the youth.
